For the second time in as many weeks, firefighters in Auburn were dispatched to Worcester Envelope, located at 22 Millbury Street in Auburn for another fire.  On January 4th we reported a fire broke out in a large machine and the building was evacuated.

Today, the Auburn Fire Department was there battling a small fire that started on the outside of the building at one of the loading bays.  On Facebook, AuburnMassFire says, “The cause of the fire was rear lights on one of the trucks backed up to the loading dock were left on and it heated up the material above the loading dock as it was pressed against it.”   The fire was contained by employees with fire extinguishers until crews arrived on scene.

There were no injuries in today’s fire, and it does not appear that the building was evacuated.

Fire companies responded to the Worcester Envelope Co. for a report of flames coming from one of the bay doors. Command reports the fire is under control. Photo courtesy of APD.
