Arrest Made In Hope Cemetery Car Burning, Homicide Investigation Continues

On Tuesday night, Worcester Police along with assistance from Peabody Police and the Massachusetts State Police arrested 56 year old of Steven Foley of Northborough on an outstanding warrant in relation to the burning car found in Hope Cemetery in Worcester last week.

Foley was transported to Worcester for booking and was arraigned in Worcester District Court on Wednesday morning.  The investigation into the burning car, and body found inside at the cemetery continues.  A woman was found burned inside the vehicle, it is currently being investigated as a homicide.

The Telegram & Gazette reports the victim was a woman who worked at Mario’s Showplace in Webster for more than 10 years.  The Worcester District Attorney’s office identified the woman on Wednesday as 59 year old Cynthia Webb of Sterling.

Foley was ordered held on $250,000 Wednesday on charges of burning of a motor vehicle and malicious damage of a motor vehicle.
