Beer Truck Catches Fire On Route 395 In Thompson

Connecticut State Police were on scene of a tractor trailer truck fire on Route 395 North on Friday.
Traffic was detoured this morning after a truck carrying beer went up in flames. The fire is believed to have started in the front portion of the truck, but quickly spread to the trailer as well. No injuries or crash was reported.
The Webster Fire Department provided mutual aid to Thompson, East Thompson and Putnam Fire Departments.
We responded mutual aid to Thompson on Rt. 395 for a tractor trailer truck on fire. This truck was loaded with beer heading northbound.
