A husband and wife from Douglas were charged with reckless endangerment of a child.  Their 16 year old son was removed from the home on 20 Arch Street by the state Department of Children and Families, after police found the teenager was living in squalor.

George and Kimberly Campbell were arraigned in Uxbridge District Court on January 10th, and released on personal recognizance.  They are scheduled for pretrial conferences next month.

Douglas Police came upon the home back in October while investigating another unrelated case.  As you can see from the Google photo their yard is full of trash and other objects making it difficult to walk to the front door.

The inside of the home is reportedly just as bad.  In addition to animal waste there was also a large amount of moldy food, and trash.  DCF was sent to investigate and has since played the child with a relative.  No word yet on if the house will be cleaned up or torn down.
