About the author: Ronald J. Whittle is a lifetime resident of Massachusetts, born in Worcester and raised and educated in his hometown of Shrewsbury, MA. Further education came by way of the U.S. Navy, Vietnam, the Apollo 13 recovery team and 45 years of family living. Ron divides his time between Worcester and Cape Cod. His influences include Tom Waits, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Edgar Allan Poe, Ogden Nash, Ezra Pound and Rod McKuen. He is a member of the Worcester County Poetry Association, the Works in Progress/Outlaw Stage and the Worcester Artist Group, a founding member of the Worcester Art Walk and a member of the Warrior Writers of Boston. Several of his poems have been published in various magazines and he has recently been recognized internationally.
