Oxford Police are crediting a DOT helmet for preventing serious injury after a single motorcycle crash on Route 20 on Friday night, September 7th.  Police and EMTs responded to the scene and transported the operator to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Massachusetts Law states, “Every person operating a motorcycle or riding as a passenger on a motorcycle or in a sidecar attached to a motorcycle shall wear protective head gear,” however a DOT approved helmet is not required.
