Monson Custodian Arrested For Making School Threat

Connecticut State Police have placed a Monson man under arrest after a threat was made against the school he works at.

58 year old David Wachta, a school custodian at the Stafford Middle School in Stafford, CT was arrested after another staff member overheard him allegedly say that he was planning to “shoot up” the school on Monday morning.

A lockdown was put into place until an arrest warrant was issued and Wachta was arrested just before noon on Monday, April 9th.

He is being held on $100,000 bond and will face charges in court on Tuesday.
