Southbridge Man Charged With Trafficking Cocaine & Heroin

Southbridge Police have announced the arrest of 32 year old John Otero on Cross Street on October 29th.

Police say he had two active warrants for his arrest out of Dudley District Court at the time he was spotted by officers.

During a conversation with Otero, he admitted to being in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.  Police recovered a clear plastic bag containing approximately 18 grams of suspected crack cocaine packaged for distribution and approximately 140 packets of suspected heroin packaged for distribution.

During booking, police say Otero claimed that he was walking on Cross Street and had found the drugs on the ground and picked them up.

Otero was charged with trafficking in crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute class A heroin and was also held on the two arrest warrants.

He was arraigned in Dudley District Court on Tuesday October 30th.
