Just before 2:30AM on Saturday, March 9th crews were called to a fire on Grafton Road in Millbury on the Worcester line.  The Millbury Fire Department says a second alarm was called right away due to the magnitude of fire.  Preliminary investigation shows the driver of a pickup truck lost control on Grafton Road and hit the home.  As a result of the crash, the natural gas service line to the home was cut, causing it to catch fire.

Authorities say the gas feed fire under the truck was left burning for awhile to prevent an explosion until Eversource Gas crews could shut off service to the surrounding area.

All of the residents of the badly damaged home, and the occupants of the truck were able to exit on their own.
