Woonsocket Police Officer Justin Ryel with THE LAKE 940’s Mike Roberts

On Sunday, November 13th the Woonsocket Police Department invites you to bowl to help raise funds for COPSWALK.  The family-friendly bowling tournament will begin at 2pm at Walnut Hill Bowl on Diamond Hill Road in Woonsocket.  Get registered before-hand beginning at 1pm.

Officer Justin Ryel tells THE LAKE 940, “COPSWALK is a charity organization that works to raise money for families of fallen police officers.”  In Woonsocket, there are about 15 officers who are on the COPSWALK team.  Each year they hold a 400-mile, around-the-clock, relay-style run from Rhode Island to Washington, DC.  That will take place in May 2023.

Tickets for the bowling tournament will be sold at the door, cost is $30 for adults, $20 for children.  Each ticket includes a beer for the adults, and pizza for everyone.

Listen to the interview with Officer Ryel below, and make plans to go bowling in Woonsocket this weekend!
