On Saturday May 19th, just after 11PM Webster Police observed a car speeding on Lake Street.  Officer Aaron Suss reportedly watched it turn onto Granite Street, almost striking a telephone pole.  Police attempted to pull the vehicle over but it would not slow down. After a short chase the operator of the car, later identified as 27 year old Michael Bowman of 9 Whitcomb Street in Webster, hit a fire hydrant and a chain link fence.  He was taken into custody and blew a .13 on the breathalyzer. Millbury Police have put out a warning after a former Uber driver has been accused of stalking area women. Boston 25 News reports Richard Agyemang has been going around stalking women and won’t take no for an answer. “The fear is he is aggressive. His behavior is escalating,” Millbury Police Detective Andrea Warpula told the television station. Agyemang allegedly approached two Panera Bread employees at the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley in Millbury recently, following one to her vehicle trying to engage her in conversation.  He told police he was looking for a girlfriend, but ended up being charged with annoying and accosting, a misdemeanor that doesn’t require jail time. At 10AM on Monday May 21st there will be a ceremony at the Auburn Public Library honoring the memory of Officer Ronald Tarentino Jr. The town of Auburn will be dedicating the Swanson Road bridge over Route 290 and a portion of Route 9 in Leicester in the late officer’s honor. Officer Tarentino was shot and killed during a traffic stop on May 22, 2016. During the ceremony there will be no parking available at the library. Oxford Police received a 9-1-1 call after a single car crash on Comins Road just after 1AM on Saturday, May 19th. Webster resident Richard Spahl, who owns and operates Spahl and Son Garage on 2 Lake Parkway, reported he was the victim of a robbery this week. A 30 foot tall radio tower, separated into three 10 foot pieces, used for HAM or Amateur radio was removed from his property in the afternoon of Friday, May 18th sometime before 5PM. Mr. Spahl said, the tower pieces were laying on the ground and were expected to be assembled and attached to the building after siding work was completed on his garage.  “They just disappeared” he told us.  The estimated cost of the tower is about $1,000.
