After a short chase the operator of the car, later identified as 27 year old Michael Bowman of 9 Whitcomb Street in Webster, hit a fire hydrant and a chain link fence.  He was taken into custody and blew a .13 on the breathalyzer.

He was charged with the operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor, failing to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to use care and caution while turning.

He was released on $40 bail and will be arraigned at Dudley District Court today.
