In March, Leicester Police shared they were trying to track down a robbery suspect with a fingerprint left behind in a piece of Play-Doh at a crime scene, now that man has been arrested. Leicester Police say the suspect “is currently residing at the Worcester County House of Correction and is wanted in at least two other states.” Charges were filed in connection with the investigation and the suspect, who’s name has not been released will be arraigned in court in the near future. The Connecticut Crime Lab assisted Leicester Police with identifying the fingerprint.

Mutual aid was dispatched from Douglas, Sutton, Northbridge, Mendon, Upton, Millville, Hopedale, North Smithfield, and Harrisville to help fight the fire or cover other emergency calls. Read MoreAt 3:16PM on Saturday, April 28th the owner of the home at 30 Wheelock Street in Oxford called 911 to report a fire in a bedroom of the home. Oxford’s Police and Fire Departments arrived within minutes and began to fight the flames. In a press release, Deputy Fire Chief Jon Belanger said the fire was quickly upgraded to a second, then third alarm so that additional resources could be brought in from surrounding towns. In addition to several Oxford Fire units, mutual aid was brought in from Auburn, Webster, Dudley, Charlton, Leicester, Southbridge, Sutton, Paxton, Millbury, Northbridge and Uxbridge.
