Troopers from the Connecticut State Police are looking for help from the public to identify the individual in the photograph above in relation to multiple car breaks in the Fabyan area of Thompson. He is also wanted for questioning in connection to fraudulent use of a credit card in Southbridge. On Thursday, July 12th, The Rhode Island State Police announced the arrest of a Woonsocket woman on charges of driving while intoxicated with 5 children in her car. 41 year old Leah Beatriz Duran of 144 Park Place, Woonsocket, was arrested at around 3:15 PM on Wednesday at Lincoln Woods State Park after a member of the beach staff notified park police that a woman who was possibly intoxicated was preparing to leave the park in a minivan with five children, ages 7 months to 10 years old, inside. A serious crash with a car into the back of a tractor trailer truck has shut down part of the Mass Pike westbound in the Millbury/Grafton area on Tuesday afternoon, July 10th. Massachusetts State Police say the right lane and breakdown lanes are closed near mile marker 98 as crews are on scene. On Monday night, July 9th at 9PM, Detectives from the Southbridge Police Department were conducting surveillance in the area of Windsor Court and North Street due to several complaints of drug transactions happening in the area. Detectives watched a drug transaction take place and conducted a traffic stop soon after. As a result of an investigation, many plastic bags were found, containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. There were several pills also recovered from the search. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Auburn Board of Health has announced that spraying will begin on Tuesday, July 10th after sunset. The decision was made after a West Nile Virus positive mosquito sample from a testing area in the western part of town was found last week. The risk level for West Nile Virus in Auburn was recently changed from low to moderate due to recent virus activity.
