Just before 9PM last night, Connecticut State Troopers from the Quality of Life Task Force/Troop D stopped a vehicle on Grove Street in Putnam for a motor vehicle violation. When Troopers approached the vehicle and interviewed the driver they requested consent to search the vehicle. During the search, Troopers located and seized numerous rocks of crack cocaine; each pre-packaged for street level sales inside the vehicle. 36 year old Henry “Hank” Tyus of 160 Farrows Street in Putnam was placed under arrest and transported to Troop D.
