Good news if you didn’t win Powerball last night.  Nobody else did either.  That means Webster’s Powerball fever is growing.  Wednesday’s jackpot will be worth at least $440 million. The winning numbers drawn last night were 28-36-41-51-58 with Powerball number 24. This is probably not something residents of Webster and neighboring Oxford want to hear.  A Sutton company has applied to move their biomedical waste transfer station to 56 Worcester Road in Webster. The Telegram & Gazette reports there was a lawsuit involved with United Medical Waste Management and Webster’s Board of Health earlier this year.  After a Worcester Superior Court Judge decided the board was required to vote on the application, it was determined that the company’s proposal does not pose a danger to public health for residents. After the deadly fire in The Bronx, NY this week, Auburn’s Fire Department is reminding local families if you are ever involved with a fire at your home, don’t forget to close the door behind you after exiting the building.  They call it a “life safety reminder” that will give other people time to escape the flames and help to slow fire growth.  It was reported the door was left open in the New York tragedy that took the lives of 12 people.

December 22nd was not a very good day for 47 year old Tina Boutilette of Woodstock, CT.  The Connecticut State Police Troop D have announced she was involved in a domestic violence incident where she was arrested after striking a male twice in the face and shoving him into a car.  She was also charged for interfering with an officer and breach of peace.  After she was released on $2,500 bond on December 23rd at 1:54PM, she was arrested a second time at 3:48PM for violating a protective order involving the original victim.  After her second arrest she was charged with violation of a protective order and held on a $15,000 cash or surety bond and transported…

The North Brookfield Police Department responded to a home on Ward Street yesterday at around 11am for a reported armed home invasion. Two men armed with handguns and wearing ski masks entered the home and tied up the home’s three occupants.  The suspects stole five handguns, cash and other small items.  One of the suspects was believed to be a white male, tall and heavy set. The other suspect was possibly Spanish, shorter than the first man with a stocky build. The suspects were heard to be leaving in a vehicle with a loud exhaust.
