Earlier today, approximately 4,000 customers in Dudley were in the dark due to a National Grid power outage. The Dudley Police Department is reminding drivers that if you come across a traffic signal that is not working, to treat it as a 4 way stop. Due to the power outage, Shepherd Hill and Dudley Middle School will be releasing students at 12:30pm today. Power has been restored to some, but not everyone as of 12:15PM on Monday. No word yet on what caused this outage.

A Honda CRV was spotted speeding and repeatedly drifting over lane markings, according to police. Police say Matthew Hale was taken by his mother, without permission, in September of 2016. The Webster Fire Department says they performed an aggressive interior attack and encountered heavy fire in the first floor kitchen. The fire spread into the second floor and was made its way into the attic before it was extinguished. The fire is believed to have started in the dishwasher while it was running. Mutual aid from Dudley, Douglas, Oxford and Southbridge assisted on the scene, while Sutton covered Webster’s station.
