Kevin Crozier was sentenced to 6 years in state prison on Friday after pleading guilty to his part in burning down a home in Worcester in 2015. Worcester County District Attorney Joe Early Jr.’s office says the 31 year old pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit arson and arson of a dwelling in the burning of the single-family home at 11 Dixfield Road. Two co-defendants, Scott Phelan and Lionel Bermudez, have also pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing in Superior Court. On Saturday, May 26th just after 11PM, Worcester Police responded to the area of Holland Road and Main Steet for a report of gunshots. Police observed a group of 4 young males tending to a 16 year old male lying in the road, suffering from a gunshot wound, near 1232 Main Street. Worcester EMS treated him at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital. Officers taped off the area and secured the scene while collecting evidence. The victim was pronounced dead just before midnight at the hospital. His name has not been released. On Saturday, May 26th, just after 1AM Dudley Police Sergeant Paul Ceppetelli and Officer Marek Karlowicz were dispatched to the Dudley Golf Range on West Main Street for a report of a suspicious person in the parking lot. The owner of the property had seen someone who should not have been there on video surveillance. It was a very busy start to Memorial Day Weekend in Dudley. Firefighters responded to a small fire and two separate car crashes all on Friday night between 5pm and midnight. The first accident took place on West Main Street. About an hour later a Cadillac drove off Tufts Hill Road hitting several trees and rolling over onto its roof. Dudley Police say the male driver, identified as 25 year old Aleksander Wasilewski of Dudley was bleeding from some injuries. Dudley EMS administered aid to him at the scene and he was transported to Harrington Hospital at Hubbard for treatment. Just before 7PM on Wednesday, May 23rd, Leicester Police responded to a crash on Route 9 near Soojian’s Drive. A 30 year old Leicester man had left the Walmart parking lot heading east on Route 9 when he collided with a 2005 GMC pickup truck that was traveling in the opposite direction. The truck was being operated by a 34 year old Leicester resident. The crash is being investigated by Leicester Police and the Central Massachusetts Accident Reconstruction Unit. The operator of the scooter was transported by ambulance to UMass Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police in Uxbridge are asking the public to be on the lookout for this peacock who is missing. The bird was reported lost in the area of Douglas Street near Route 16 and could have traveled to neighboring towns. Animal Control Officers ask if you see the peacock roaming around to call them at (508) 278-7755 so that the owner can pick it up.
