There are still very few details of a serious multi-car crash that occurred just before 10PM on Thursday night, March 22nd on Granite Street in Webster.

A vehicle, traveling well above the speed limit, crashed into several parked vehicles.  We have learned the 2 occupants of the car fled the area on foot.

Witnesses we spoke to say, the driver, who possibly broke his leg in the crash, fled the area on foot.  After he was located by police he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  We do not have any information on the second occupant of the vehicle.

A police K-9 unit and accident reconstruction team closed the area off for several hours while they were investigating and clearing the scene.

THE LAKE 940 reached out to Deputy Chief Michael Shaw of the Webster Police Department on Friday morning but as of Saturday afternoon had not returned our request for comment or a statement.

This story will be updated when information can be confirmed on identities of those involved and what charges were filed.
