Oxford Accepts Town Manager’s Resignation

NBC 10 Boston is reporting that the embattled Town Manager, Brian Palaia, who was caught drinking on the job, and had tried to prevent town employees from promoting a retirement party for retired Fire Chief Sheri Bemis, has tendered his resignation.

According to Karen Hensel, the Board has accepted “resignation and severance package” and they will be changing the locks to city hall as soon as possible.

Palaia had been under fire for several months for alleged misconduct while on the job.
