Mother nature didn’t quite cooperate with the Webster Lake Association’s 11th Annual Ice-Out Contest. As we reported last week, Einstein fell through the ice one day before the official contest was to begin on February 20th. The last time the contest winner was determined this way was in 2012.
The Ice-Out drawing event will take place at Point Breeze Restaurant on Wednesday, March 28th at 7:45 PM. Doors will open at 7 if you would like to arrive early and enjoy complimentary appetizers and purchase a drink or 2.
Each ticket that was purchased prior to the closing of the contest, whether in person or online will count for one raffle ticket. You do not need to present to win, but it will be fun to be there if you do win (or even if you don’t). No additional tickets are being sold for this raffle, but the Webster Lake Association has added an separate 50/50 raffle that will be held giving people in attendance an extra chance to win.
The proceeds from both the Ice-Out tickets and the 50/50 raffle will benefit Webster Fire and Rescue, The Reconciliation House of Webster and The Webster Lake Association.
