Just after 2AM on Thursday, November 1st, Dudley Police were called to Oxford Avenue where a hit and run was reported. Three parked cars were struck. The vehicle that was suspected of striking the cars was found stopped about a half mile from the scene on Pleasant Street in Webster.
29 year old Lauren Soucy from Webster was seen walking around the area, and police identified her as the driver of the vehicle that left the crash scene. Police believe she was under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody.
She was transported to the Dudley Police Department for booking, was held on bail, and will appear in court this morning for arraignment.
Police say a total of four vehicles, the three parked cars and the suspect’s, a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox, suffered significant damage.
Soucy was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol (second offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, 3 counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, marked lanes violation and possession of an open container of marijuana.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
