On October 4th, 2019, Webster Police responded to the parking lot of Mario’s Showplace where a male had been stabbed as the result of an altercation that occurred outside the business.  The victim did not know who had stabbed him, but police were able to obtain surveillance video of the incident.

Since then, Webster Police Detectives have been investigating along with Detectives from Connecticut State Police, which resulted in the identification of two people involved in the stabbing.

The two suspects are 42-year-old Brian Perez and 50-year-old Michael Nazario both of Putnam.

Both Nazario and Perez have been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury, assault to kill, carrying a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Webster Police say that Perez was the one who initiated the actual stabbing, but Nazario was charged with the same charges, as he was an accomplice.

On February 14th, Perez and Nazario were arrested and they are currently being held in Connecticut as fugitives and have not yet been arraigned in Massachusetts.
