Body Found In Blackstone River In Millbury

On Wednesday evening, October 31st, Millbury Police and Fire Departments were called to the area around Providence Street by the National Grid electric substation to search for a missing woman in her 70s.
The search ended overnight and was picked up again this morning just after 11AM, when the police and fire departments were assisted with the Massachusetts State Police Airwing. Her body was found in the Blackstone River this morning.
Foul play is not suspected at this time. Her name or cause of death has not been released.
