Careless Smoking Sparks Auburn Car Fire

Auburn Fire Department

On the afternoon of Friday, May 4th, the Auburn Fire Department was called to the westbound side of the Mass Pike to put out a fire in a Honda CR-V that began when an occupant did not properly dispose of smoking materials.

The fire department reminds you to be cognizant of disposing items properly with “dry season” in full swing.  As you can see by the photos below the car is most likely a total loss.

Careless disposal of smoking materials was the contributor to this earlier car fire. Something to be cognizant of with the dry season upon us.
