Cat Dies In 2-Alarm Webster Fire

An early morning fire at the corner of North Main Street and Aldrich Streets in Webster kept firefighters busy on Tuesday morning.

The blaze quickly grew to 2 alarms and burned portions of the six-family home, located at 70 North Main Street, displacing approximately 12 people.

No injuries were reported to residents or firefighters, but one cat was unable to make it out of the building.  Most of the damage was sustained on the upper floors.

Mutual aid was brought in from Douglas, Dudley, Oxford, Sutton and Southbridge.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

 

Companies are on scene on North Main Street with a structure fire. A 2nd alarm has been struck
