Charlton Police Help Save Ducklings From Storm Drain
First responders have to be prepared for anything that may be sent their way. Anything from car accidents, to robberies or even violent crime.
On Tuesday, June 5th the Charlton Police Department received a call for a mother duck in distress on Route 20.
When Officers arrived, they found 8 ducklings had fallen into a storm drain along the side of the road.
Patrol Officers diverted traffic, as members of MassDOT lifted the grate and fished out the ducks.
The octuplets, nicknamed Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack and Quack, were all safely rescued and relocated, with their mother, to a safer area by Charlton Animal Control.
