Dudley Police Gun Buyback Program
In an effort to prevent injury or death from unwanted or unsafe guns in local homes, the Dudley Police Department has announced they will take part in the Annual Goods for Guns Buyback Program.
This program will be held from 9AM to 1PM on Saturday, December 16 in association with the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
All residents of Dudley will be able to anonymously turn in operable guns and receive local grocery chain gift cards. You will also be able to get free gun locks, also turn in non-operable guns, ammunition, and firearm accessories (no gift cards are issued for these items).
You do not need to have gun registration or licenses during this event to turn in your unwanted firearms. If you cannot make it to the police station, you may call and have a police officer pick them up at your home.
Unwanted firearms may be disposed of by turning them in personally at the Dudley Police Department, 71 West Main Street, on Saturday, December 16 between the hours of 9AM and 1PM.
Important: All guns brought directly to the police station must be unloaded and wrapped/contained in a bag.
Residents may also call the Dudley Police Department at (508) 949-8023 to make an appointment for the pickup of unwanted firearms at their residences. Please provide a name, address, and return phone number so that a mutually agreed upon time can be arranged. A trained officer will respond to your home to safely secure and remove any unwanted firearms. More information is available here.
