Dog Orphans, located at 90 Webster Street (Route 16) in Douglas, invites the public to the facility on Sunday, February 25th, from 12 noon to 2PM for an opportunity to speak with board members, tour the facility, meet canine friends who are up for adoption, and learn more about the no-kill shelter. During the open house, they would be delighted to speak to you about the need for new members for the board of directors such as the responsibilities, the mission, and the rewarding job of taking in abused, abandoned, and unwanted dogs. Dog Orphans Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, and is eligible to receive donations and apply for many grants, including those for operational costs and special projects.
