Killingly Man Arrested For Operating Crack House
On January 18th at around 7:30PM, members of the Connecticut State Police Troop D Quality of Life Task Force executed a narcotics related search and seizure warrant at 17B Saint James Row in Killingly, CT.
The search warrant was obtained after an investigation revealed that 24 year old Tyler Ayotte-Pierce was selling crack cocaine from his residence. While approaching the residence the accused was found exiting the front door and was detained. Police were able to search the home and two children ages 3 and 8 were located inside.
When a search of Ayotte-Pierce was conducted one prepackaged bag of crack cocaine was found in his pocket. A subsequent search of the home by K-9 Ambrie located multiple bags of crack cocaine pre-packaged for sale. In addition to the crack cocaine, 6.5 grams of marijuana, digital scales, a cell phone and a facsimile firearm were seized.
Due to children being involved, the Drug Endangered Child Protocol was initiated and two DCF caseworkers responded to the scene and took protective custody of the children and placed them on a ninety six hour hold.
Tyler Ayotte-Pierce was taken into custody for Possession of “crack” cocaine, Possession of “crack” cocaine with intent to sell, Possession of “crack” cocaine in a school zone, Possession of “crack” cocaine with intent to sell in a school zone, Operating a drug factory, Possession of a facsimile firearm , and 2 counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor.
He was released on a total of $50,000 dollar cash/surety bonds and will appear at Danielson Superior Court on January 30th.
