Massachusetts Vax Bus Arrives In Southbridge & Worcester
Mass DPH Mobile Vaccination Bus
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker has announced additional vaccination opportunities for Massachusetts residents via the newly created mobile vaccination unit. The “VaxBus” is expected to increase access to Covid-19 vaccines across the state.
The Commonwealth is hosting community-based mobile vaccination clinics in 23 municipalities across Massachusetts. The municipalities include those that are part of the Vaccine Equity Initiative and those with lower-than-average vaccination rates. The mobile clinics will be in easy to access locations to reach individuals that may have trouble getting vaccinated in a traditional setting.
Members of the public can show up to be vaccinated without an appointment. The VaxBus will offer the two-dose Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and up and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine for ages 18 and up. The bus will return to these communities to provide the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
