Meet Southbridge’s Newest Millionaire, Timothy Perry
Congratulations are in order for Timothy Perry of Southbridge. The Massachusetts State Lottery announced he claimed a $1 million prize awarded from the “$4,000,000 Payout” scratch ticket.
The Lottery says Perry chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. He plans on using his winnings to buy a house and to send his mother on vacation.
While he may not technically be a millionaire, he was pretty lucky because he didn’t even purchase the ticket. Perry says received it as a gift from a friend.
In case you were wondering, the winning ticket was purchased at A1 Mart, located at 179 Elm Street in Southbridge.
The lottery says there are still two remaining $4 million prizes and four additional $1 million prizes on that particular $10 scratch ticket.
