The Town of Webster has announced their newly-redesigned website will go live on February 5th.  They say to please be patient in case the current website experiences some technical difficulties on February 4th or 5th while things are moved over.

According to a press release, “the new site has been designed with the user experience in mind, to improve navigation and aesthetics of the Towns web presence and to make Town government more accessible to the public.”

New improvements and feature include a simpler design with easier navigation, a responsive design to allow easier mobile viewing and cross communication between constituents and departments when electronically reporting issues or concerns.

The new Webster-MA.gov will also include a new “Notify Me” option that automatically sends subscribers alerts, meeting notifications and important news items, a new easy to use agenda center with meeting minutes and a new mobile application that will be available for iPhone and Android phones and tablets.

The town invites all residents for a demonstration on February 26th at 6 PM for a demonstration event in the Selectmen’s meeting room at Webster Town Hall.  All are welcome.
