As the country remembers former President George H.W. Bush, a national day of mourning will be observed on Wednesday.

All federal government offices and many government agencies will be closed, including all post offices.  Regular mail delivery will not be made, and package delivery will be limited according to the postal service.

The New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ and the Federal Reserve System will also be closed, but most banks are expected be open.

A funeral will take place at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. on Wednesday and his burial will be on Thursday in Texas.

George H.W. Bush served as the country’s 41st president from 1989 to 1993.  He passed away on Friday night at 94 years old.
