Oxford Police report they disrupted 5 juveniles actively smoking marijuana in town on Friday night, September 7th.  The children ranged in age from 14 to 17.

In addition to taking the marijuana, other smoking materials, alcohol and a B.B. gun were also confiscated.  “Kids as young as 14 to 17 should not be vaping, smoking marijuana and possessing alcohol. Talk to your teens about making positive, smart & healthy decisions,” the department posted on Facebook.

Oxford Police were clear that this was not considered a drug bust, it was just an attempt to stop the children from driving under the influence, and to keep them safe.  All 5 teens were released to parents.
