Police Investigate Woodstock Bank Robbery
On Friday, March 23rd, just before 2PM, Connecticut State Police Troop D and Detectives assigned to the Eastern Connecticut Major Crime Squad responded to Hometown Bank located on Route 171 in Woodstock for a reported bank robbery in progress.
The suspect, a white male, approximately 5’8″to 5’10” in height, wearing a red hat with a black bandana over his face, a black coat, white shirt and blue jeans fled the area prior to Troopers arrival.
The suspect fled in a tan four door vehicle, possibly a Buick, northbound on Route 169. Troopers were able to obtain several photographs of the suspect and his vehicle from bank surveillance cameras.
