Southbridge Man Charged With 23 Counts Of Breaking & Entering
We first learned about Tommie Lee Goddard after he turned himself in to Southbridge Police on August 2nd after he was charged in several break-ins.
On Friday, August 10th Detectives from the Southbridge Police Department showed up at his apartment at 115 High Street with a search warrant, due to an ongoing investigation of breaking and entering into motor vehicles. Detectives also had an arrest warrant issued by Dudley District Court for his apprehension for committing numerous motor vehicle breaks and the subsequent larceny of property.
As a result of the search warrant, Goddard was immediately taken into custody on the arrest warrant without incident. Several items were also secured as evidence which were believed to be stolen property as well as tools that were used that aided in committing the motor vehicle break-ins.
Police believe he is be responsible for more than 20 motor vehicles that have been broken into in the last 2 months.
Goddard was charged with 23 counts of breaking & entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and with 19 counts of larceny under $1,200.
He was held at Southbridge Police Headquarters over the weekend on no bail and will be arraigned in Dudley District Court on August 13th.
