Earlier this week on Sunday, June 24th Trooper Scott Maguire, who is assigned to the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, was just clearing a traffic stop, when his radioactive detector alerted of a passing vehicle showing radioactive material was present.

Trooper Maguire stopped the commercial vehicle on The MassPike in Charlton to perform an inspection, only to find that the driver was not licensed to operate a commercial vehicle.

The driver was placed “Out of service” and the cargo was transferred to a properly licensed driver according to Massachusetts State Police.
