We can all remember watching the clock ticking until the final bell of the school day, but once you ran off from the classroom to your car, there should be no rush to get home.

Sutton Police have increased their patrols around the area of Sutton High School after several complaints have been filed.

In a post on Facebook, the department says, “We have received several complaints about students leaving school grounds in all directions traveling at high rates of speed.”  Even though e-mails have gone out to students and parents, police have still stopped students for traveling over 60 miles per hour in a 35 MPH zone.

Sutton Police are asking parents to have a discussion with their children to remind them to keep their speeds within the safe limits.   It is also a good reminder for any students at any school in the area to obide by the posted speed limits.
