Thompson Schools Announce Early Dismissal

FROM THE LAKE 940 STORM CENTER: Due to the heavy rains and afternoon forecast, Thompson Public Schools are letting students home early today, Tuesday, September 18th.
The school’s website mentions flooding as a concern at one of the schools. Thompson Middle and High Schools will be released at 1:30, the elementary schools at 2:30. No after school or recreation programs will meet today.
The remnants of Hurricane Florence are making their way to southern New England today, bringing the possibility of several inches of rain to the Webster area. A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for most of the listening area.
