The Auburn Police Department has announced they have been responding to 2 reports of counterfeit 100 dollar bills being passed around town at local businesses.  Police say the bogus bills are high quality counterfeits and were designed to defeat the normal safeguards employed by most stores.

The investigation is ongoing, but it is believed that the bills may have been passed by one or more black males in their 20’s from Brooklyn, New York.

If you think you are in possession of a fake bill you are asked to contact the Auburn Police Department.
