Shortly after noon on Tuesday, another school bus accident on the icy roads of Sutton was reported.

This time it was a smaller Ford Van that went off the road and hit a telephone pole on Dodge Road.  The vehicle was transporting pre-schoolers at the time of the accident.

One student, the bus driver and bus monitor were all transported to UMass Medical Center with various injuries.

We have asked Sutton’s Superintendent of Schools, Theodore Friend, if he stands by his decision to have classes today.  So far he has decided not to respond to our questions.

Many parents we spoke with think closing schools, or at least delaying classes while road crews treated the streets would have been a better decision than putting children at risk.

This is the second bus crash in Sutton on Tuesday, the first was captured on video and reported on earlier today here.

We have been asking the question all day, should school have been cancelled or delayed today?  Join the conversation on our Facebook page.
