Truck Fire Stops Traffic On Route 395 North

The Auburn Fire Department was on the scene of a fully engulfed tractor trailer fire on Route 395 North on Thursday afternoon. Traffic is still backed up all the way back to Oxford if you are heading northbound. Seek an alternate route if possible. Delays are expected through the early evening.
While on site fire crews were also faced with a brush fire that was approximately 1,000 feet in length climbing the hill into the woods. Engine 3 focused on containing the brush fire first, and then the hazmat situation of approximately 75 gallons of diesel fuel leaked from the burning tractor trailer truck. saddle tanks.
