Webster Man Arrested On Armed Robbery Charges

After a month-long investigation by Webster Police, 31 year old Santos Perez of 9 East Main Street was placed under arrest, in connection to an armed robbery at Gilbert’s Market on North Main Street in Webster.

The robbery occurred on February 11th just before 8PM.  A masked male had entered the store brandishing a knife and demanding money.  The clerk complied and the suspect made off with an unknown amount of cash.  There were no injuries and no customers in the store at the time.

Webster Police were able to compile evidence as well as several anonymous tips in the days following the robbery.  An arrest warrant for Perez was granted and he was charged with armed and masked robbery, larceny over $250 and assault with a dangerous weapon.

He was arrested on March 10th and held on $5040 cash bail and was arraigned at Dudley District Court on March 12th.
