As we previously reported, a multiple vehicle car crash took place on Thursday, March 22nd at 9:45 PM.  Webster Police Deputy Chief Michael Shaw tells THE LAKE 940 that charges have now been filed against the driver and passenger involved.

Two males were seen running from the area immediately following the crash.  Officers arrived at the scene and found the motor vehicle believed have been driven by 33 year old Dimitrios Gatsogiannis, of 19 Linwood Street in Webster.  The crash caused significant damage to three other parked cars by hitting one and forcing it into the other two.

After an extensive search, Gatsogiannis was located and transported to Harrington Hospital in Webster with serious injuries.  The Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team was activated and is conducting the reconstruction of the crash.

Gatsogiannis has been summoned to court and is being charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, speeding, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

The passenger was identified as 31 year old Daniel Orlowski, of 114 Fabyan Road in North Grosvenordale.  He was charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.  Webster Police say there was also an outstanding warrant out for Orlowski’s arrest for an unrelated charge.

Gatsogiannis and Orlowski will be arraigned at a future date at Dudley District Court.
