Mysterious Bone Turned In To Leicester Police

Last week a Leicester resident turned in a bone to police that was found in the woods by the resident’s dog. Apparently, this kind of occurrence is not quite as rare as you would think.
Leicester Police say they “occasionally” receive calls like this, and as always they are working closely with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Although they have not successfully identified what kind of creature the bone came from, they have determined the bone is from a “non-human.”
Leicester Police thanked the resident for turning it in. On Facebook, the department stated, “the job of a police officer is never boring…you never know what the next call will bring.”
