Webster Lake Featured On Jeopardy! [VIDEO]

On Thursday afternoon the word was out. Webster was buzzing after a post on social media from Carla Manzi, owner of Webster Lake Gifts on Thompson Road. In just a few short hours her status had been shared over 80 times.
A portion of the post read, “So last October, I got a call from a producer of “Jeopardy” asking if I could teach him how to say the name of (Webster) lake.” The show, hosted by Alex Trebek would at some point in the near future feature a clue about our very own Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg and the producer would call Carla to let her know when it would air.
Today was that day. Carla’s post continued, “Well I just got the call! The lake will be a question to an answer tonight! What great timing as everyone will be watching the record breaking money winning contestant!”
She is referring to professional sports gambler James Holzhauer from Las Vegas who won an amazing $90,812 on today’s show, and a 16-day streak of 1,225,987 in total winnings.
