Bullets Found In Woonsocket Middle School Bathroom

Hamlet Middle School in Woonsocket was placed on lockdown on Friday afternoon after bullets were found by a custodian in a boy’s bathroom. Police say the ammunition was found around 1:40PM.
Woonsocket Police and a State Police SWAT team were sent to investigate. There was no shooting, and no firearm found after an extensive search. The scene was cleared by 3PM. No one was injured and all schools in Woonsocket are already closed on Monday for Presidents Day, followed by Winter Vacation from the 20th through 23rd. The incident is under investigation.
