Bullying Blamed In Thompson Student’s Suicide
Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early, Jr. is investigating the suicide of a 15 year old student from Thompson, Connecticut. Connor Tronerud died on December 4th “after struggling with bullying from peers” according to his obituary. Connor lived in Sutton, but went to school at Marianapolis Prep in Thompson.
It has not been made public where the alleged bullying took place, in Massachusetts or Connecticut, but at this time only Massachusetts State Police are investigating.
On Twitter the school released a statement stating, “The Marianapolis community is grieving the loss of sophomore Connor Tronerud. Connor will be greatly missed by the entire community.’’
A celebration of Connor’s life will be held at the Chapel at Marianapolis on Saturday, December 16th at 12 Noon.
