Charlton Home Fire Under Investigation



On Wednesday afternoon, May 8th at 1 PM, Charlton Fire Department responded to a home on fire at 124 Osgood Road.

When crews arrived, they made entry to the structure and fought the flames with an aggressive interior attack.  The fire was deemed under control about an hour later.

Mutual aid was brought in from Southbridge, Sturbridge, Auburn, and Spencer.   The cause of the fire is not yet known but is still under investigation by Charlton Fire Department and the District 7 Fire Investigation Unit.

There were no injuries reported.  Estimated damage to the home is placed at $150,000.
